Top 5 Podcasts I Listen To On Repeat

by - 29 December

Happy last Sunday of 2019 and of this entire decade. How wild is that!

This recommendation list was supposed to go up prior to me leaving for my vacation but I couldn't squeeze in the time to finish it so it could only go up today. Nevertheless, I am so excited to be sharing these 5 podcasts with you!

They were some of my favourites that I've been listening to this year and ones I've found to have helped me immensely be it in my career, emotional wellbeing or just life in general. Let me know if you have other recommendations in the comments below — I'd love to grow my library of podcasts in the new year as well.

1. Lavendaire Lifestyle

This is without a doubt my top recommendation for 2019. As quoted from lavendaire.com,

Life is an art. Make it your masterpiece. The Lavendaire Lifestyle is a podcast on personal growth and lifestyle design. Hosted by YouTuber and entrepreneur Aileen Xu, this podcast shares weekly inspiration on how to create your dream life.

I wish I had discovered this podcast sooner! I only started listening to it in November and fell in love with it immediately. I love how Aileen breaks downs her tips for life by sharing anecdotes from her own experiences. It is a very relaxing podcast to put on at the end of the day when you're getting ready to unwind. It helps put things in a better perspective for me and really teaches me how I can live my life free of fear, judgement and negativity.

2. What We Said

Jaci and Chelsea are a dynamic duo who never fails to crack me up when I listen to them chat. This is one podcast that I've laughed out loud (way too many times to) and I know I can turn to to make my day better. They bring on guests whom I love, like Kristin Johns, Tezza and Cole and more. They share a lot of listener stories which make it so much more relatable and funny.

I highly recommend this if you're looking for a light-hearted podcast to start the day with. Here's a synopsis of what it's about:

Intended to inspire and entertain, best friends Jaci Marie & Chelsey Jade talk candidly about health, business, relationships, life, etc. You can expect the girls to be joined by occasional guests, reading friends' & fans' stories, & offering unsolicited but heartfelt advice.

3. Blogging Unscripted

For my fellow content creators, this one is a must-listen! Even though Danielle's uploads aren't as frequent, each episode she puts out will always be packed to the brim with information that will help you excel in your blogging journey. I always take notes when listening to her because her tips are just that good! Here is what you can expect summarised in a couple of sentences:

In this podcast space, Danielle is sharing her raw, unfiltered advice and dishing on the ins and outs of blogging in order to help you grow your brand. Driven by YOU, she'll share all facets of building a brand from the ground up including productivity tips, social media strategies, brand sponsorships, business hacks and behind the scenes stories.

4. Socialette: Bite-sized Online Marketing

The Socialette Podcast is something I found to have really helped me in my full-time job as a Social Media Manager. Each episode is usually around 5 minutes (which truly makes it bite-sized) and that makes them super easy to consume in between schedules or on a lunch break. I love love love the tips Steph shares on her podcast and the fact that she's Aussie too makes me feel even more connected to her.

Here's a quick summary of what the podcast is about:

A bite-sized online marketing podcast for business owners. Join Steph Taylor as she answers ALL your business marketing questions and deep-dives into the nitty gritty of online marketing, content marketing, social media marketing and marketing strategy for business owners.

5. The Skinny Confidential

My fifth and final recommendation to conclude this round up is The Skinny Confidential. Hosted by a husband and wife duo, this podcast has a good mix of everything which keep things fresh and interesting. I love the guests they have on — some of my favourites were Chriselle Lim, Jessica Alba & Cash Warren, and founders/co-founders of brands like Wander Beauty, Kopari Beauty, and more! The cherry on top of this value adding podcast is truly how both Michael and Lauryn are amazing at hosting, interviewing, always keeping things interesting.

If you're interested to know more about this particular podcast, here's how they describe it on their website:

The Skinny Confidential HIM & HER Show is like attending happy hour with your best friends. Lauryn & Michael have a conversational interview style to dive deep into a wide range of topics. Guests include entrepreneurs, experts & celebrities such as Gary Vee, Jillian Michaels & Kate Somerville.
