Catching up | Hello, December
Hello, it's December again.
I personally am a big fan of this time of year because:
1) Christmas lights are up and everyone is in a festive spirit
2) The new year is just around the corner
For me, the new year always brings a brand new perspective and breathes life into my otherwise slightly worn out soul (from the routine that is being a working adult). As always, Ben and I got each other a new planner for the coming year to get us prepped for a fresh chapter of our lives. It's become a tradition for us to get planners for each other because as it turns out, we both really love writing out agendas and important dates in a physical book. I think we should have a shelf dedicated to our used planners — how darling would that be? :)
Anyway, I realised it's been awhile since I candidly write about what's going on in my life and also share a bit about what are some upcoming plans.
So this past month has been a roller coaster ride —
- At work, we welcomed 2 new colleagues: one of them I've become fast friends with, the other, is a challenge I'm working to overcome. I chanced upon this month's mantra for Aries from @themantroco that truly resonated with me and reminded me that if you can't change your circumstances, you've gotta learn to let go of a negative mindset and embrace the situation for what it is.
- With health, my back is *finally* at a better place! I went for my first physiotherapy session and I honestly wished I had done that sooner. The therapist loosened my lower back and taught me some exercises that will strengthen my core. It hasn't been hurting as much or as frequently since my session and incorporating the exercises into my daily routine, which is amazing news! I will be going for my second session next week and I'm really looking forward to it.
- I also did a bit of a shop around Singles Day, Black Friday and Cyber Monday and will be uploading a haul to my channel soon! Hopefully in the coming two weeks before I leave for Europe. It isn't going to be a big one because I only shopped for the things I really, really, really love or something that I needed to replace or add into my life. Being a conscious consumer has been something I'm really working on and I'm glad I didn't buy something just because it was cheap. :)
Speaking of Europe, I'm so excited to be going on holiday in less than 2 weeks' time! It's going to be my first time in that part of the world and I'm so glad we're going during the Christmas season — I'm just imagining the Christmas markets, chilly weather and everything magical. I will of course be vlogging on the trip and updating Instagram as I go so be sure to follow me @lemielch to keep updated on my travels!
That's about it for now. It does feel good to write about what's been going on, even if it is just for me to keep a diary of my life.
Thank you for dropping by again. x
