when you find a REALLY good book + life updates
I've recently gotten back into reading fiction - which has been something my life really needed.
I thought I've grown out of it but when my friend recommended to me, It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover, I literally couldn't put it down and ended up reading the entire book in the second sitting.
In the past few years I've only been reading self-help, motivational books which are amazing and helped me heaps whenever I needed a guiding light. But somehow the pull and magic of a GOOD fiction book can totally encapsulate your whole mind and tug on your heartstrings.
That's pretty much what It Ends With Us did to me. I had a book hangover the next day haha and thankfully she's written plenty of other books so I immediately went on Book Depository and got myself a copy of It Ends With Us (the one I read belonged to my friend), as well as Confess. Then my sister went ahead and got me two other books by Colleen Hoover for my birthday. I'm pretty set for the next few weeks yay! Can't wait for these babies to arrive and for me to get to reading again.

Fast forward to today, it's April 8th and the first half of this post was actually written a month ago. It seems like I didn't post it as soon as I wrote it, and I have been putting off writing once again.
Update though, all 4 of my books arrived *yippee*, but I haven't gotten to reading them yet. I was watching two K-dramas for the past month - While You Were Sleeping and Hwayugi, which were both really good! If I were to rate them, WYWS would get a solid 8.5 and Hwayugi probably around a 7.
I'm also nearing the end of my probation period at work! It's my first full-time job and I can now proudly say that I am a working adult and I'm settling in nicely.
My job as a social media manager has allowed me to work on my photography skills, learn how to communicate with influencers, it has also taught me many things out of my profession that I consider valuable life lessons. Most importantly, it has allowed me to do what I love and at a comfortable pace and place. I will continue to work hard and to do my best for the company and for myself!
One last update, my mum, sister and I will be going to Seoul at the end of June which is in 2.5 months. I'm so pumped! We all love Korea so it's something that all of us are looking forward to.
That's all for now, but I'll be sure to write again soon. x
