My my, it's been a while, again. Fun fact: I did actually think of the title a couple of weeks ago, I just haven't had the time to put my thoughts into words. But here I am, on a Thursday afternoon, finding some time to myself and finally working on this post. *yay*
Firstly, I'm back in Singapore! The title is referring to the fact that my 5 years of living abroad has ended and it's the big move back home to live permanently. It hasn't sunk in that I'm here for good, without a date set to leave again. I still feel like I'm on holiday to be honest. I guess I'll need a while to settle into my new routine.
It's so surreal that the time has come and I'm no longer hopping between two places. I won't be able to put "perth & singapore" in my bios anymore - which has kinda grown on me haha. Even so, I am more than happy to be able to be home with my loved ones. The years I spent in Perth were so valuable, because they allowed me to grow into the person I am today and have opened my eyes to many things and experiences. To spend my formative years in a different space has built me up as someone who encompasses the characteristics of both the East and the West, and I really like that.
I do hope that coming back here will only help me continue to blossom into a better person each day. I want to be happy, soft-hearted and to enjoy every moment of every day. I know life in Singapore can be stressful but I do hope I won't drown in it and instead flourish with this different lifestyle.
I've been back for almost a week now, and have had such a good time catching up with friends, seeing my whole family together and repacking my room (yes I do enjoy clearing out old stuff and shifting things around).
Really looking forward to December, I wish with all my heart for a sweet and amazing end to 2016.
